Windows 7 New Folder Missing Solved

I brought it to my dealer and the guys said it was caused by Stardock MyColors, a program that I installed to change the Windows theme. It was possible but then I got that problem even before I installed Stardock. I told him that, but he didn't believe me. OK whatever. What crap customer service.

Windows update. I noticed that problem right after one of Windows' automatic updates. And when I searched for answers online, lots of people also experienced that problem after an update.

In the end I did not find out the actual cause but the dealer logged in to the Administrator account and found that the New Folder option was there and he said Stardock fried the other user account on Windows. He kept harping on the Stardock even though I repeatedly told him I installed Stardock after I got that problem. But then again after all this, we found out that the problem was only appearing in one particular user account. So the solution to this:

1. Logon to Administrator account
2. Create a new user
3. Copy the files from the problematic user account to some folder on the hard disk (optional)
4. Then use the new user (that does not have that New Folder problem).
5. Copy the old user's files to the new user's folder (optional)

After doing that, my Windows 7 New Folder option is available now. Then I installed Stardock again, on that new user. Did it mess up the New Folder option? No!! So it is not Stardock to blame.
