Squatting toilets are actually better than sitting toilets. It is not because of beauty, design, color or quality. It is because of how they can be used to good health.

Squatting Toilets

According to the Ayurvedic Science of Health, the best way to do a bowel movement is by squatting. When in the squatting position, feces and waste matter can be removed entirely. If they are not, then they tend to go back up the rectum, stay they, rot, promote bacteria action and you know what's next.

When sitting, the buttocks are not fully open, therefore, bowel movement may not be complete. That is why it is really advisable to squat when having a bowel movement... therefore using a squatting toilet.

All my life, I have been squatting when having bowel movements. But I did try once on a sitting toilet. After it was over, I stood up, felt a little uneasy and then went to a squatting toilet. And guess what, some more feces came out, about twice the amount that came out during the first bowel movement on the sitting toilet. See? When I was sitting, there was actually still some remaining feces that would have to wait till tomorrow if I had not gone to the squatting toilet!
