Samurai. One of my favorite genre of TV shows and games. The Japanese finally did a super sentai series based on Samurai for the year 2009. Samurai Sentai Shinkenger!

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger 2009

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (侍戦隊シンケンジャー, or Samurai Squadron Shinkenger) is the 33rd installment of the Super Sentai series. It started airing on February 15, 2009.

Instead of cars, machines and dinosaurs, their gimmick is Samurai, Animal Gods and Elements. Shinkenger is a portmanteau of Shinken (a sharpened sword) and Ranger. In 2010, the Americans will be using Samurai Sentai Shinkenger for their new Power Rangers gimmick. Power Rangers always lag one year. So what will it be for the US? My guesses would be Power Rangers Samurai Force or Power Rangers Way of the Samurai or simply Power Rangers Samurai, in short: Samurai Rangers.
