Real Cause of Eye Twitching

Eye-twitching is a minor problem for most people but to some, it is a major signal that the body has problems. However, I may have found the true cause of eye twitching...

Real Cause of Eye Twitching

Eye Twitching Cause What is this eye-twitching anyways? Well, sometimes we may feel that our upper or lower eyelid muscles twitching fast or slow. Sometimes continuous and sometimes just for a while.

Let us analyze the causes. The first type of cause that people are talking about are medical or health causes. They say that stress, high blood pressure, diseases and other health conditions can cause eyelids to twitch. They even got medical experiments and researches that can prove this. But then again, some people who have no such medical conditions still experience eye-twitching...

So how accurate is it to blame medical reasons for eye-twitching? I am not sure but then the second cause mentioned by people is more to the superstition side. People say, when eyes twitch, bad luck is coming. Sometimes the left eyelid twitching will symbolize bad luck and the other way round for the right eyelid. Some say the reverse. And some say that this is flipped for male and female. But then again, I have personally seen people who have eye-twitching and have no problems in his near future life. I have personally thought that bad luck will come to me when my left upper eyelid twitches and good luck when my right upper eyelid twitches. And on several occasions, the lucky or unlucky events do happen. But on some other times, nothing happened and in other cases, the opposite happened. So, is this just another superstition?

The real cause? Well, I cannot say it is the real cause, but this is just something that I have found out. This brings me to another thing: eye clutches. Sometimes, eyelashes, facial hair, dust or some tiny unknown foreign object gets into your eye. You feel the itch and you wash it out. But most of the time, if the object is too small, you do not feel it. But as for me, I feel the discomfort even if the foreign object is very very very small and almost invisible; like the transparent 2mm facial hair. What has this got to do with eye-twitching? Well, from what I experienced, every time I get an eye-twitching day, I have some type of eye clutch discomfort as well and once I get that thing out of my eye, the twitching occurs no more!! So is the eye twitching a signal from our body to say that something got into our eye? Just that almost everybody else except me can feel the discomfort caused by very small facial hairs. They don't feel it in their eyes but then their eyes will twitch because it is there...

I cannot prove this and I believe no one can. I am just saying this from my experience. Something to think about... hehe
