Power of Chess Pawn Formations

There is one trick in chess that I learnt throughout my chess games in my life. And that trick concerns pawns. Pawns cannot do much in the game, as in they cannot move much, but they are extremely important and powerful.

Power of Chess Pawn Formations

Most players, including myself, like to use pawns to attack just because they are the least valuable of the pieces on the board. And when properly defending one another, the pawns create some sort of barrier or invisible shield that can ward off other powerful pieces like knights, bishops and especially rooks. However, doing so can only defeat the not so experienced, as of what I experienced.

I have learned that a better way to use pawns is to move the pawns only when necessary. Make sure you decide on a pawn formation at the start of the game, and that pawn formation would last until the end game. You need to make sure that the formation can be powerful enough so that they can defeat the pawn formation of your opinion and get promoted.

Actually this is just some brief info about not moving pawns whenever you like. There is actually a lot more to this. But the bottomline is that from my experience and studies, moving pawns unncessarily can make you lose moves, lose strength and lose the game.
