Fireworks CS3 Brush Lag Problem

 
I encountered a damn problem on my Fireworks CS3. Everything is fine but when I click on the brush tool, there is a lag when I draw stuff on the screen.

This problem is serious and frustrating. I cannot seem to draw anything! After searching around on the Internet, I found several possible causes:

1. Memory problem - But this is unlikely. Fireworks CS3 worked very well on my old PC. It lags on my NEW PC...

2. Corrupted installation - but I tried to uninstall and reinstall and still... the same.

3. Incompatibility with my operating system?

It turned out that the answer was #3. Fireworks CS3's brush could not support Windows Vista's Aero theme. My old PC was using Windows XP. I switched the theme to Windows Vista classic theme and it was OK! But I don't wanna use the old windows theme! So here's what I did to fix it. I went to the Fireworks exe icon, right-clicked it, clicked Properties, clicked the Compatibility tab, checked Run this program in compatibility mode for, selected Windows XP, and checked both Disable visual themes and disable desktop composition.

Now it works even with Vista Aero theme!
